Media, which have violated the adoption of a code may be fined or forced to a public apology. Also, they can be seized personal property.
In the event of non-punitive companies their licenses canceled.
The representative of the organization "Reporters Without Borders' Leonard Vincent expressed concern that with the help of the code of the Iraqi authorities will be able to control all the local press. "This is absurd and dangerous," - he said.
