The channel "Translation" won arbitration proceedings with "daughters" Stream TV ", who were accused of illegal use of its content, writes the newspaper Vedomosti on Monday, 22 December. However, the court reduced the amount of compensation required by the "Translation" 500 times.
According to the publication, the arbitral tribunal Novgorod region claim AO "Translation" to Ltd. "Maxim Engineering (" daughter "Stream TV"). The plaintiff argued that the defendant broadcast content channel "Translation" without an agreement with the holder, not only for Russian, and German languages. Representatives of the "Stream TV" is denied and questioned the right of "Translation" broadcast in Russia.
As the Vedomosti, the court, taking side channel, however, reduced the amount of 5 million rubles to 10 rubles. CEO of Ascona (exclusive agent "Translation" in Russia), Alexander Silin did not rule out that the award of damages will be challenged.

Violation of any kind of copyright is really a bad thing and should be punished.
People do not understand that someone has put in such great efforts to produce original content and copying it is as good as theft.
