Defense Ministry intends to reduce to four officers of the editorial department of "Red Star". The remaining officers will be reduced job categories, sends agency Interfax, citing sources in the military press.
According to the interlocutor agency, a directive signed by the Chief of General Staff Nikolai Makarov requires that by June 1 of the 72 officers were drafted in only 18. The source said that most officers will resign, as well as for civilian positions they have low salaries, and warned that the proposed reforms are put into question "the possibility of issuing newspapers, published in 1924."
The newspaper "Time News" leads fresh issue of statements head of the educational work of the Ministry of Defense Anatoly Bashlakova, according to which we plan to include in the edition of "Red Star" magazines departmental and district newspapers. This would allow, according to Bashlakova, "while reducing the total increase creative potential, expand the network of correspondents and a range of services."
