The debut album of British indie-supergroup Mongrel "Better Than Heavy" will be released on 7 March as a free supplement to the Saturday newspaper The Independent.
Mongrel project was created in 2008 by former party Arctic Monkeys, Andy Nicholson, the current drummer Matt Heldersom group, vocalist Reverend and the Makers John Maklyurom, Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell and reperom Lowkey of hip-hop collective of Poisonous Poets. In her debut CD Mongrel includes 11 tracks.
According to the The Independent, this is the first time in the history of the British press, when the debut album of the group went along with the paper. Meanwhile, the publication has already acquired experience in the publication of music CDs. The Independent has recently released a collection of the best tracks the Icelandic post-rock group SigurRos charity compilation, and "War Child: From Help to Heroes".
